Veda Yuva
Veda Y. Yuva of Eugene died March 11 of cancer. She was 52.
Yuva was born Nov. 7, 1949, in Los Angeles to Harvey and Gwynedd Thomas Reed. She married Chuck Yuva in Carmel, Calif., on Nov. 17, 1967.
She attended grade school in Ojai, Calif., and high school in Ventura, Calif., before moving to Eugene in 1978. She earned a master's degree from the University of Oregon. She was a watercolor artist. Her interests included camping, traveling and art.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael of Eugene and Nicholas of Portland; a brother, Steven Reed of Cortez, Colo.; and two sisters, Donna Taggart of Nevada City, Calif., and Staci Hill of Cortez.
No service is planned. Her ashes will be scattered near John Day. Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Wildlife Foundation, the Audubon Society or Womenspace.
