In February I went to California to attend a memorial for a cousin and I was able to stop in Ojai for a bit. It is still a pretty place but I admit a lot has changed since I lived there. But not a lot has changed in my life since I last posted (is that a consequence of growing old?).
Brad and I are still doing fine here in New Mexico. There are a lot of interesting historic sites that we enjoy driving to and seeing. Last week we went to a small cemetery where most of the people there died in late 19th or early 20th centuries. But there was a couple where one died in 2002 and other in 2005. Kind of makes you wonder how that happened? Did they want to be buried in the same spot where there great-grandparents were?
Next year it will be 45 years since we graduated. Where did all that time go? Are we planning on a reunion? If so I would like to attend.

Some of my favorite memories from high school were the field trips we took with Mr. Powell. I remember seeing Ramona and being impressed. Later after high school I took his trip to the Rose Parade. It was nice to be able to enjoy the trip and leave all the hassles of getting a good seat and parking and all those other details to someone else.

I wrote a private message to Tom and he asked me to post it to everyone. So here it is:
Thank You Elaine, I was planning to go to the 50th, but I had spinal surgery in March and am not able to travel. The fun part is when I am able to travel via air I will set off the alarms at the TSA check point as there is a large amount of metal in my back now. I saw my surgeon today and he assured me that I was not dead.
I tried to post a message to all who have been so nice to send their wishes, but I could not figure out how to do that so maybe you could post it for me. If so many thanks. I still remember you even though I left mid term of my sophomore year, you were always so sweet. If you see Bev Torgeson at the reunion please say hi for me; we grew up together in the same neighborhood.
All the best to you and our wonderful classmates,
Thom Davis
